The CEF is looking for your support this year as we bring back The Concert for the Arts after a 5 year hiatus (due to the pandemic, the flood, and the rebuilding of the auditorium). A night not to be missed, the CEF invites professional musicians to help raise funds for the arts in our schools. Some items you may have noticed, Ukuleles for the 4th graders, easels for the art department, Three upright basses for the orchestra, microphones, and new spotlights for the auditorium. Featuring artists on some of the biggest stages in NYC, such as The NY Philharmonic, The Metropolitan Opera, and Broadway, The Concert for the Arts, is a great way to see and hear incredible talent right here. No schlepping into the city, free parking, and no tolls! Join us for our 16th concert on November 18th at 7PM @CHS Tickets available with this link, $5 more at the door. https://www.cresskilleducationfoundation.org/cefconcert.html We hope to see you and your families there!

We will be conducting non-emergency evacuation drills to an off-site location at some time over the upcoming weeks. Even though we will be not advertising specific dates and times in advance, our police department will be assisting in this process, and they will help ensure that students are safe during the drills. Should you have specific concerns or wish to know more about the process, please reach out to our building administrators.

Please be advised that we are using a very realistic coyote decoy and fencing to help scare the geese away on the EHB field. Additionally, we welcome residents to help chase the geese when convenient to do so. These actions help to prevent further damage to our fields and promote cleanliness.

While our teaching staff is fully hired for the upcoming school year, we are still seeking great coaches, aides, and substitute teachers to make a difference in the lives of our students. Currently, the coaching positions available are MS Boys Soccer (Fall), MS Girls Soccer (Fall), Winter Track, MS Softball (Spring), and MS Track and Field (Spring). Per policy, parents of Cresskill students are not permitted to coach, but all those without children enrolled in the schools are welcome to apply by emailing bdelvecchio@cresskillnj.net.

Strategic Plan
While July 4th, 1776 is observed as America's independence or freedom from the British, Juneteenth commemorates the first time in history when EVERY American was free! Over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the final vestiges of slavery were finally stamped out when Union soldiers informed the last groups of slaves of their freedom. As Americans, Juneteenth is a time to celebrate freedom for ALL! Happy Juneteenth!
