Hello again Merritt families. Power is back on in the building. The YWCA after school program will be running this afternoon as well as the HSA after school classes.
Hi Merritt families. The building is currently without power. We will be dismissing as normal, but all after school classes and the YWCA after school program are cancelled for this afternoon. We will be keeping students in those programs in the gym until they are picked up by a parent.
The fifth grade Revolutionary War songs were too good to contain to just class, so we turned lunch into a concert today. “All I Want for Christmas is Freedom” was a huge hit!
One of the most important things we do in public schools is prepare students to be active citizens. So what better way to “practice democracy” than to have a debate when we disagree on something! Thank you to all the fifth graders who presented today and made excellent arguments for why their lunch period should be longer!
We're not sure where all our first graders are today, but we sure have enjoyed having all these one-hundred-year-olds here at Merritt today! Happy 100th day of school!
We have a number of great positions if you or someone you know is looking to work for a high performing school district. https://www.cresskillboe.k12.nj.us/page/employment-opportunities
It is great seeing our gyms full and the school full of life! Go Cougars! Congratulations to all of our young athletes in the wrestling program! 💛🖤

It is with a big proud smile that we announce the recent award of "Bergen County Superintendent of the Year" by the Bergen County Association of School Administrators to our own Mr. Michael Burke. Congratulations Superintendent Burke, well done and well deserved after a year like NO other !

Our first Diversity & Inclusion Committee meeting on Oct. 5th was fantastic.
Over 30 participants including former students, parents, & community members.
We will always strive to make the Cresskill School better every single day.
Looking forward to meaningful change!
We hope all of our Cresskill families are successfully navigating the continual challenges put forth by COVID-19. In an effort to streamline, unify, and enhance our district communications, we have launched a new school website platform. The site will continue to be a work in progress in the coming weeks and months, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and understanding given all recent challenges. Please continue to visit us here for current and breaking district information. I wish our entire community a safe and enjoyable summer as we prepare to welcome our students back in September !
